Overview
Malaysia's PDPA governs the processing of personal data in commercial transactions. It establishes seven principles: General, Notice and Choice, Disclosure, Security, Retention, Data Integrity, and Access.
Your Rights
Under Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), you may have the following rights:
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to correction of inaccurate data
- Right to deletion of your data (where applicable)
- Right to object to processing
- Right to data portability (where applicable)
